Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio Wednesday morning shrugged off criticism over his alleged misuse of a Republican Party of Florida credit card.

Near the end of an interview with CBS This Morning, the Florida senator said a Miami Herald report that suggested he misused the card for personal expenses was “silly.”

“This is a small bureau down in Florida, one newspaper that is obsessed with this story,” Rubio said. “Bottom line is, we have revealed all the documents, people can see it all. It’s there. It’s not a big issue and we are moving on.”

“It really is a silly story,” he continued. “They can continue to write about it, but as I said, the Republican Party never continued to pay any of my personal expenses and as the records detail, there were personal expenses and those few times that there were, we paid for them directly to American Express.”
