Republicans and Democrats have been accused of being two arms of the same corrupt political body. Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush are demonized by each other, by their opponents, and even by factions within their own parties, but they have more in common than you might think.

Jen Hobbs Here are 15 ways Jeb Bush is just like Hillary Clinton: 1.) They project entitlement:  Bush and Clinton represent a political class that is seen as living lives apart from those they represent, people who are seen as out for themselves rather than for ordinary people. – Dan Balz, Washington Post 2.) They are both

NY Daily News posted a surveillance video of a Brooklyn grocery store that captures two NYPD officers beating 24-year-old Thomas Jennings with his hands up in surrender.

Off The Grid   A surveillance video published by Daily News shows 24-year-old Thomas Jennings leaning on a counter of a Brooklyn grocery store on July 7th when NYPD officer Lenny Lutchman approaches him from behind and starts shoving his chest and grabbing his wrists. Jennings appears to raise both his hands in surrender. As you can see

Jeb Bush outlined a wide-ranging plan to rein in the size of the federal government and curb the influence of lobbyists who live off it. Portraying himself as a political outsider Mr. Bush called for a 10 percent reduction in the federal workforce, an immediate hiring freeze, a constitutional amendment requiring a balanced budget and a six-year waiting period before members of Congress can become lobbyists.

Off The Grid   He’s trying to become a hero to the working people. Jeb Bush is not an outsider. You talk about the Kennedy dynasty in this country. The Bush dynasty has been way longer and way larger. He is not by any stretch an outsider. He’s trying to pull the same thing that

Teenage boys might have to start asking teen girls for valid ID before agreeing to go on a first date if they want to stay off the sex offender registry.

Jen Hobbs Put yourself in this scenario: You’re 18, you go to a dating site, you start talking to a girl whose profile states she’s 17, and then you both “hook up.” The usual teenage intimacy ensues (sex), and you find out later that she lied about her age. She’s really 14-years-old, and her parents are now really

The Obama administration unveiled a major climate change plan aimed at a large reduction in greenhouse gas emissions from the nation’s coal-burning power plants. The “Clean Power Plan” is the final version of regulations by the EPA. Of course the GOP has vowed to fight it.

Off The Grid   It’s a known fact that the Earth is getting hotter. The more carbon there is in the air, the higher the temperatures are. That’s not negotiable. It’s a scientific fact in and of itself.  We’re now putting more carbon into the air than ever before. So, naturally, the temperatures have to go up.

Off The Grid Former US ambassador to Saudi Arabia was interviewed on CNN’s Fareed Zakaria GPS  where he claimed that current Saudi King Salman had told him that the Israeli Mossad intelligence agency was responsible for 9/11. “One of my first calls [after 9/11] was with then-governor of Riyadh, Prince Salman, who is now the king,” said US

A Missouri grandfather who’s serving life in prison for nonviolent marijuana offenses is still waiting for a chance at freedom months after Governor Nixon commuted the life without parole sentence.

Jen Hobbs In July, we reported on President Obama’s commutation of nonviolent drug offenders. What most people don’t know is that even after a sentence is commuted, the individual isn’t immediately set free. It can take months, sadly even years, for a person who shouldn’t even be in prison to be freed.  Unfortunately, this is the case

The New York Times published an article on William J. Lewinski, a psychologist who “studied police shootings” and reportedly charges $1,000 an hour to testify on behalf of police officers in criminal trials.

Off The Grid Dr. Lewinski runs a company called “Force Science Institute.”  He is credited, according to his website, with having “prevented some [police] officers from going to prison when they were wrongly accused of criminally using deadly force.”   One of these cases, according to the New York Times’ journalist Matt Apuzzo, was the shooting death
