Maybe a foot massage?’: Megyn Kelly ridicules GOP candidates debate demands
Fox News host Megyn Kelly who was accused earlier this year of partisan questioning toward Donald Trump mocked Trump and the rest of the Republican presidential field on Monday for their proposed demands in future debates.
They want all the candidates to receive similarly-substantive questions. No so-called lightning round of questioning, she said. Approval of any on-screen graphics aired during the debate. Oh yeah, thats gonna happen. The networks should commit that they will not ask hand-raising questions, yes-or-no questions, allow candidate-to-candidate questions. Then, maybe, like a foot massage?
Kelly noted that most of the candidates were banding together to confront the networks in the wake of the heavily-criticized event last week hosted by CNBC. However, not only has Trump refused to join in, but Carly Fiorina and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie have also declined to take part.
Can you imagine having to submit our graphics for approval to the candidates? Kelly asked Fox politics editor Chris Stirewalt. Good luck with that.
Trumps supporters called her a bimbo this past August after she confronted the real estate magnate over his history of demeaning comments toward women during a debate hosted by the conservative network. The candidate himself responded by making sexist remarks about her, while even some of Kellys colleagues complained because she asked questions regarding abortion and same-sex marriage.
